Mewartakan Injil melalui Media Digital
Kontribusi Generasi Z di Toraja
Abstract
The proclamation of the Gospel is a divine mandate entrusted to all of God's people, including the younger generation, with a scope that extends beyond the church building to encompass every segment of society. This study aims to identify the specific contributions of Generation Z (Gen Z) in Toraja to evangelism and to analyze the digital proclamation models they employ. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative method, supported by observation, in-depth interviews, and field studies, the research uncovered three primary models of evangelism carried out by Gen Z. The first model involves the formation of digital discussion groups and communities, such as the "Pelita Teologi" community, where sessions discussing the Gospel are uploaded to their YouTube channel to reach a wider audience. Secondly, they leverage digital multichannels to produce creative content, including scholarly writing, images, and educational videos about the Gospel. Finally, the third model entails the organization of digital spiritual festivals, manifested through religious competitions and contests, the results of which are disseminated via digital technology. This contribution by Gen Z in Toraja demonstrates that digital technology is a highly effective means of continuing the proclamation of the Gospel in the modern era.
